We have an opportunity for a data developer to support our IT team and lead on data focused projects. The main focus of this role is to provide capability and capacity within the IT team to support data systems and provide reporting for management & external stakeholders. It provides a unique opportunity to work in collaboration with the IT Manager for tasks and priorities to be allocated in line with the post holders knowledge and experience along with the immediate needs of the College. The team is small and therefore the need for a flexible IT professional that can support across the full range of varied IT activities is essential.
Contributing across a wide range of IT activities, including server systems onboarding, Hypervisor configuration, the post holder will form strong working relationships with Line Managers and colleagues across the college community to support with all aspects of the college Data requirements.
The post holder will be a key point of contact for Data related queries, providing professional advice and guidance, and will support Line Managers with requests for new systems which will require a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA). The role will require significant involvement in maintaining GDPR compliance and records.
Short listed candidates will be able to demonstrate knowledge of SQL and have a degree in Computing/Computer science or equivalent level training.
Salary: £26,141 rising to £27,96
Hours: 37 hours per week
Tenure: Permanent
